Klassiek Leeft Meesterlijk: Florian Noack & Quatuor Van Kuijk 20.30 uur

Florian Noack represents a new generation of talented Belgian pianists and has in recent years been acclaimed for his numerous virtuoso and creative arrangements of major orchestral works. In March 2024, he released his latest CD ‘I wanna be like you’, which has already received rave international reviews. He opens this concert with an excerpt from that brand new CD recording. Next, the renowned Paris-based string quartet ‘Quatuor Van Kuijk’ takes the torch from him to shine in a string quartet by Felix Mendelssohn, also the subject of a recent recording in which they put all of Felix's prodigy's quartets on CD. Recent concerts still took Quatuor Van Kuijk to festivals in Cambridge and Zurich and Carnegie Hall New York.

Finally, Noack and Quatuor Van Kuijk put the icing on the cake with an Olympian performance of Dvorak's famous piano quintet, particularly loved by many a melomaniac.
